Drew Scott
Drew Scott is 35 years old and is married to his High School sweetheart. He has 2 children, a girl 2 years old, and a new baby boy, 6 weeks old. He has worked as a physical education / health teacher for the past 10 years. He is also an NSCA certified personal trainer.
Drew enjoys anything outdoors, from scuba diving in the ocean, to snowboarding in the mountains. He's been involved in sports his entire life, and that's where he started his training. He played football and baseball in High School, weighing a slim 110 lbs. He was little, but lightening fast. "Oh the good ole days". I was always getting banged up so I started lifting, and noticed changes pretty quick. I decided to join a gym. I entered this old mill and walked around for a bit. This place was nasty... It had a horrid smell, the equipment was old, but the atmosphere was intense. There were guys in there squatting like 800lbs and benching like 500 lbs. for reps. Truly enhanced freaks!!!!!!!!!
I just had to train here! I trained there until they closed the doors every night. One of the owners talked me into competing in a show. I thought he was crazy! I had only been lifting for like 6 months or so, and the idea of standing in front of people in my underwear really wasn't to appealing to me. Well, he finally talked me into it. I didn't even diet ( I was always pretty ripped, just didn't have much muscle like today).
I compete only to keep the fire in the gym going. Sometimes after training for so many years it gets old, so if I have something to train for, it brings that fire back. I guess I will continue to train and compete as long as my body allows me to, because its definitely beat me up from years of abuse. A couple of herniated discs, elbow surgeries, my shoulders sound like Rice Krispies, and my patella tendons feel like they are going to explode. But, I just cant stay out of the gym because I love this shit!
Bio
height 5' 8" Drew was absolutely amazing this year. He had some of the best conditioning of the year. Just look at the separation in his legs. Amazing! He just kept getting better and better as the season went on. I was able to judge a couple of the shows he did and he was always at the top of his classes.
